About EmojiDig
EmojiDig is a free emoji search. Type what you mean, even misspelled, and copy the emoji in one tap. There is nothing to install and no account.
What’s included
Every emoji Unicode recommends in Emoji 18.0: 3,972 in all counting skin-tone versions, on 1,759 emoji pages. The list is rebuilt from Unicode’s own data files and checked against them, so a missing or wrongly copied emoji fails our build instead of reaching you.
How search works
Search runs in your browser. Names and keywords come from Unicode’s CLDR project, extra keywords from the open-source emojilib list, and we add our own: slang (“dead” finds 💀), concepts (“kitchen” finds cooking tools, not just a knife) and common misspellings.
How meanings are written
Meanings describe how people commonly use an emoji, not rules. Usage varies by age, region and group of friends, so pages say so where it matters. Some pages were drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed; every such page says so. Pages without a written meaning still have the official name, the keywords people search with, a copy button, variants and technical details.
What we don’t do
Your device draws the emoji, so they look the way your messages will. The only pictures we show are Google’s open-source Noto designs for emoji so new your device can’t draw them yet; copying still gives you the real emoji. We don’t make Emoji Kitchen stickers or show ads. Emoji Kitchen is a Google product; search “Emoji Kitchen” on Google to use it.
Languages
EmojiDig is available in English, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, 日本語, 한국어, Русский, हिन्दी and Tiếng Việt. Emoji names and keywords in each language come from Unicode’s CLDR project; the rest of each page was translated for the site. Meanings, collections and these about pages are in English only for now.
Data sources and licences are listed on the licenses page; what we store and measure is on the privacy page; the rules for using the site are in the terms of use. Found a mistake or a missing emoji? Contact us.
